Sensuous Planet is an experimental party dedicated to mama Earth. Spun from the minds of Nocturnal Medicine and underground rave activators GROOVY GROOVY, this unique, therapeutic experience weaves together rave, ritual, spiritual service, performance, and installation.

Presented during Climate Week, Sensuous Planet is a sanctuary for integrating the spiritual, emotional, and cultural dimensions of our hurting Earth. Together as a groovy unit we transcend the rational mind and ignite the spiritual realm, spinning webs of earthly connection late into the night.

A supremely cozy four-story loft in SoHo becomes our temple for this excursion. The night begins at 8pm with an energizing spiritual service from Earth activists Reverend Billy and The Stop Shopping Choir. Nocturnal Medicines leads us in a collective ritual to awaken our connection to NYC’s urban nature.

In the subterranean section of the loft, GROOVY GROOVY cooks up a sexy party in celebration of Earth and the 10 year anniversary of the GG community. Lineup for this one is bubbly as ever.

Akanbi aka Captain Groovy starts the ceremonies, carefully easing the people into the dance before handing over the controls to the ever-so-gracious ambassador of the underground, Bobby Beethoven FKA Total Freedom. Bobby conducts his musical spells on the people throughout the peak of our trip before we are blessed with the privilege of experiencing Kilopatrah Jones’ zestful and exuberant spirit. She closes out the ceremony and trust, you want to be present for this ride.

All through the night, movement artists Madison Wada and Laila Rosen flow through the space, guiding us to go deeper. Somatic practitioners cy x and Merritt Juliano offer 1:1 sessions for eco-sensual connection and release. A prayer room above facilitated by Grace Jung @cosmic.worm offers space for being with hope, grief, and love.
