New York was built on a 542 million year old crystal called the Manhattan Schist, characteristic of New York culture; dark, glittery, hard and resilient. Piezoelectric crystals are stones that produce energy when under pressure, often used in musical instruments or to convert dance floors into reusable energy. There is a mystical energy in New York and with all the pressure on the rock underground, the energy surely reverberates.
Selenite and quartz build a topographical map of New York and diffuse the light from below. The subway system, daily traffic, and common popular areas have been mapped out to be origins of motion.
